Retiring the old boots… these boots have been with me virtually my entire career. They have been on every tour of Japan, Mexico, Europe & the states with me. They are old buddies. They were given to me my first trip to Florida back in 01’ by “Desperado” Joe Gomez, and have been through every trial & tribulation with me.
Enjoy the rest, ol’ boys. You deserve it. #retirement #specialspotonthegymwall

Wrestling 101 with Gabriel Gallo

It amazes me how many promoters use shitty, yardtard, or poorly trained talent on shows for one reason or another. It does nothing but jeopardize the rest of your talents’ saftey and take away from the credibility of your show. People will remember the worst long after they forget the best.
If you are doing it because you need more matches, just put on less but make them good. I’d rather sit and see 4 good matches than have to sit through 3 shitty ones to see the good ones; or see good talent have to try and pull a somewhat less than crappy match kicking and screaming out of a yardtard. There used to be a place on the card for shitbags, and it wasn’t in the ring. It was called ring crew.
I wish promoters would quit helping aid the quickening fall of our great sport by giving these yardtards a place to work. If everyone just quit using these trash baggers, for whatever reason, be it cause they are cheap, or free, or nice guys; we could get our sport back on track. Nice guys don’t draw money. Bad matches don’t draw money. Bad wrestling doesn’t draw money. Even jobbers back when it was booming were, for the most part, good. It takes alot of talent to go out and not only lose, but lose well; and in such a way to make someone else look great.

If promoters stuck to this age old philosophy, maybe the business side of things would pick up and more shows could be run, new territories could be established, and more work for the real wrestlers could be made.

The way I look at it, it’s not Vince that killed wrestling, but “promoters” that don’t know how to promote, “bookers” that don’t understand psychology and that couldn’t book a library, and “wrestlers” that don’t know what the fuck they are doing.

As long as yardtards keep getting booked, the wrestling business will continue to decline; and Hot Topic will always have customers.
